I had recently purchased a 2008 Pontiac Torrent from HMP, and must say I really enjoy my new ride. I traded in my old 1999 Pontiac Tran Sport which had given us many years of good use. A real work horse it was. I had heard from many friends, neigbors, and family who live in Stratford, to purchase my next vehicle in Exeter HMP. Word of mouth I suppose. I always had the intention of buying a newer version of the Montana ie. Montana SV6. So, my wife Julie and I had driven out to Exeter in search of one. Mind you, I know that Pontiac is taken over by Chevrolet, and that the SV6 vans are discontinued. However, I didn't mind buying a used one that may be a couple of years old. It was a beautiful sunny day last month when we drove into your lot and was met by Tom Whytall. He was looking after another client, but told us to look around, and call him if we needed assistance. Julie and I looked at a couple of used Montana SV6's, when a Torrent caught her eye. She said, "Oh! that's kinda nice". I had kept an open mind, and thought "Yeah, it's different, and cool looking". We had called Tom over and asked him if we could take it (the Torrent) for a test drive, and Julie and I fell in love with it. Tom was very helpful in explaining everything about the Torrent and how all the controls work, (OnStar, etc.) and very knowledgeable about the vehicle in general. He made us feel much at ease and is a very personable gentleman. We felt like we were being represented by a good friend, and felt very comfortable being looked after by Tom. Furthermore, Tom had later introduced us to the staff, and were met by genuine smiles and handshakes all around. We like to thank Tom and and all your staff at HMP for all their courtesy, and professionalism. It was a good, positive and pressure-free experience for both us.
